MOVIE REVIEW: The Host

Film: The Host
Director: Andrew Niccols
Starring: Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, William Hurt

I want you to do a thought experiment. I want you to imagine The Host without any connection to Stephenie Meyer. Pretend she had nothing to do with it, because without that connection the movie actually sounds pretty great.

The Host is a science fiction movie about a parasitic alien invasion written and directed by Andrew Niccols, the man behind Gattaca, Lord Of War, and The Truman Show. Its cast includes Saoirse Ronan (who you may know from The Lovely Bones or Hanna)William …

MOVIE REVIEW: Dark Skies

Movie: Dark Skies
Director: Scott Stewart
Studio: Entertainment One, Blumhouse Productions

If that idea sounds entertaining to you then you are in for a treat because Dark Skies is that …

Prometheus Trailer Analysis

The full featured trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has finally arrived. It’s actually pretty revealing if you watch it closely. The ending bit has a ton of flashing video, so I’ve broken the video down to show you some of the key shots. (Hopefully they load for you while you watch the video.)

MOVIE TRAILER: Battleship

Months after we first got a look at next year’s contender for worst idea put on the silver screen, a brand new trailer Battleship has surfaced online.

In our latest clip of Peter Berg’s best Michael Bay impression, a shit ton of things explode, yet nothing at all catches our interest. You see a lot of the alien ships, but still no creatures, and shots of every celebrity whose quota the producers were somehow able to meet (oh, and Rihanna). You can view this noisy, CGI-filled trainwreck after the jump.

Thankfully, most the proposed board game adaptations in recent years …

NEW MOVIE TRAILER: Cowboys & Aliens

A new trailer for the film recently premiere on Spike TV and we simply had to share it with you. Look below for the clip and read on to learn more about this upcoming hit!

Blockbuster filmmaker Jon Favreau directs Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford in an event film for summer 2011 that crosses the classic Western with the alien-invasion movie in a blazingly original way: Cowboys & Aliens. Joined by
