The Wonder Years Announce Four Album Release Shows In 24 Hours

A great man once said, “when it’s time to party, we will party hard.”

And you better believe The Wonder Years will be partying pretty hard at the four shows they will be playing in celebration of the release of  their fourth full length album, The Greatest Generation.

Like the headline states, all of the shows will be played in under 24 hours, and all feature stacked lineups that will vary from market to market, including: Modern Baseball, The Sixties, A Loss For Words, The Sheds, and Versus The World.

WATCH: Lydia – ‘Devil’ Teaser

Fans of Lydia better be prepared for the slew of teasers aimed at promoting the band’s new album, Devil. The first video teaser for the album, due March 19, was released yesterday.

Prior to this teaser, the first single from Devil, ”Knee Deep”, has  already been released and can be streamed right here on Under The Gun.

The band is also set to support Devil with several tour dates spanning the bulk of Spring. They will head out on March 20, the day after their album drops, and finish up on May 3. Check out the tour dates …

Queens of the Stone Age Not Releasing New Album in March 2013

UPDATE: Queens of the Stone Age deny releasing the follow-up to their 2007 album, ‘Era Vulgaris’, in March of 2013. Our source, NME.com, contacted the band’s management after reporting a missive from the band via FACT Magazine. The band’s management denied any knowledge of the album’s release date.

However, according to NME.com, Josh Homme did say the songs he recorded with drummer Dave Grohl for this album “sound like running in a dream”.

Grohl was recruited to play drums for the album after Joey Castillo quit. This is his first time playing drums on a Queens of the Stone …

Skip The Foreplay Album Release Date/Video Stream

Epitaph Records’ very own metalcore group Skip The Foreplay have announced the release date for their upcoming album titled Night Life.

Night Life will be available for purchase on May 1st 2012 via Epitaph Records. If you enjoy heavy vocals mixed with some synth and a little bit of auto tune then you might just like them.

New Bruce Springsteen Album Due In March

Bruce Springsteen is to release his seventeenth LP, Wrecking Ball, in March. Motion City Soundtrack have just unveiled that they are starting their own record label, The Boombox Generation, which will incorporate all of their upcoming album releases.
