Incubus Announce Hiatus After Summer Tour

UTG fans are going to be bummed to find out that rockers Incubus will be going on another hiatus following their Summer tour. Read what frontman Brandon Boyd said in a recent interview below and be sure to leave your comments past the jump.

Usher’s Stepson Declared Brain Dead After Jet Ski Accident

Honestly, everything was looking on the up and up for R&B crooner Usher until a horrible jet ski accident on Lake Lanier (Georgia) left his 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover brain dead. This tragic event happened Saturday and left Kile and a 15-year-old female companion in critical condition. They are at the Children’s Healthcare at Egelston Hospital in Atlanta.

The accident is still being looked into but alcohol has been ruled out as a cause of the collision. The verdict on the incident might not be confirmed for another couple months.

Opeth Founder David Isberg In Hospital After Being Assaulted

Opeth founder David Isberg is currently in a Stockholm-area hospital recovering from being assaulted on March 13. The alleged 23-year-old assailant is being charged with attempted manslaughter.

Apparently, David was merely walking home from work when he was attacked and severely hurt. The picture on your left is David’s current state in the hospital. UTG hopes David makes a speedy recovery and that they throw the kid in jail for a long time.

Electronica deity Moby has released his latest visual and per usual, you have to see it to believe it.

The video, which you can view after the jump, is for “After,” the latest single off Destroyed. The clip features a pair of children/young teens escaping what appears to be a futuristic power plant with a baby at the side. It may be a giant metaphor or perhaps just a unique vision, but either way, it’s completely badass.

Avenged Sevenfold to take break after upcoming shows

Avenged Sevenfold are planning to take a break after touring behind their fifth studio album Nightmare and a headlining run on the Uproar Festival. However, that break isn’t coming as soon as expected. Frontman M. Shadows says that the group is expected to visit Europe in February, possibly playing some festivals there. After that, he says, “then we’ll take six, seven months and sit around. If we decide to write, we will. If we decide not to, we won’t. That’s kind of the timetable we’re on.”

6 Killed at Pukkelpop Festival after stage collapses

It has been confirmed, from sources around the Pukkelpop Festival in Hasselt, Belgium, that 6 people have been killed due to the stage collapsing. The indie-rock band Smith Westerns were just about to go on when the stage was severally damaged from the storm that swept through.

Bands that were still set to play were Rise Against, Rival Schools, Skrillex, Good Charlotte, Bring Me The Horizon and more.
