Brent Walsh Performs “Default World” In New Music Video

Brent Walsh, frontman of San Francisco’s I The Mighty, has recently released a music video for his single, “Default World.” The song comes from Walsh’s solo debut, 7, which arrived on Equal Vision Records in November.

I had the pleasure of catching an intimate performance from Walsh last night in Oakland, CA and I was absolutely blown away by his powerful singing performance. 7 is available on iTunes and I highly suggest you check it out.

The official video for “Default World” premiered on Alternative Press, where Brent shared some words about the video. You can …

Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos Performs “Sleepyhead” Acoustic in His Bed

Passion Pit have been silent throughout 2014, likely at work on a new album, but today we get to see frontman Michael Angelakos singing once again. The band’s creator took to YouTube today to share an intimate acoustic rendition of their hit song “Sleepyhead” — from his very own bed.

The Manners cut gets such a stylish reveal thanks to MyMusicRx’s Bedstock event, a mission to make the world’s first ongoing music festival where artists use their bedrooms as makeshift venues. The new online festival hopes to deliver “the healing power of music” to kids and teens while raising …

Sullivan Stream An Acoustic Version Of “Pieces”

Sullivan‘s highly anticipated studio album, Heavy Is The Head, officially hits stores tomorrow. So far the group shared with us some very promising singles, including one titled “Pieces.” The band isn’t done promoting their album just yet, and they recently took some time to create a special treat for fans.

Earlier today Sullivan revealed a live recorded acoustic version of their single “Pieces.” This track is one of my favorites, and they did a great job with a stripped-down version of it. To give it a listen you only have to send out a tweet, which you can …

Watch Have Mercy’s Brian Swindle Perform “Two Years” Acoustic

Have Mercy recently released their fantastic new record A Place of Our Own via Hopeless Records, and have been releasing live acoustic versions of some fan favorite tracks. We’re already seen “Pawn Takes Rook,” and now frontman Brian Swindle is back with an acoustic rendition of “Two Years.”

“Two Years” is an early favorite of mine, and this acoustic version adds a new vibe that’s not present on the record. The lead guitar riffs that litter the verses are traded for a more relaxed strumming pattern, and Swindle’s troubled voice adds a layer of urgency.

Check out the …
