REST IN PEACE: A Rocket To The Moon

A Rocket To The Moon have announced to fans that they’ll be breaking up after their final tour with The Maine. Read the official statement from the band below and say your goodbyes.

Five years ago we played our first show with our best friends The Maine in Tempe Arizona. We were just a bunch of kids setting out to follow our dreams, see the world and make our parents proud. REVIEW: A Rocket to the Moon – Wild & Free

Artist: A Rocket to the Moon
Album: Wild & Free
Genre: Pop/rock
Label: Fueled by Ramen

A Rocket to the Moon would have you believe they’re a rock band going by their description of themselves, but don’t believe it for a second. This is pure, polished, technicolour pop of the highest order. Not that this means it’s of particularly high quality, but rather that it is almost commendably shameless in its pursuit of feelgood frolics. The band sound remarkably like a male version of Taylor Swift. Indeed, were you to take her songs through a plasticine factory and hack up …

REVIEW: Brighten – Peace and Quiet

Artist: Brighten
Album: Peace and Quiet
Genre: Indie-Pop

Hailing from Chico, California, Brighten is a band that’s been no stranger to the emo/indie music scene. Over the years, Brighten’s activity as a band has slowly moved from a full-time touring band into a band that releases an album whenever they feel like. Some would speculate a lot of this due to lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist Justin Richard’s involvement in the Fueled By Ramen band, A Rocket …

WATCH: A Rocket To The Moon – “Whole Lotta You” Acoustic

A Rocket To The Moon have released an acoustic version of “Whole Lotta You” off their latest release, That Old Feeling.

If you’re a fan of the band, you’re probably thinking “but that song was already based around an acoustic guitar,” and you’d be right (decide for yourself here). However, the vocal delivery and removal of the drums make this a much more stripped down performance.

You can out their tour dates here and watch the acoustic show here after the jump.
