Grant Trimboli MXPX has been extremely hard at work on their upcoming 9th studio album. This yet-to-be-named album will be the follow-up to the group’s 2007 release Secret Weapon (Tooth & Nail Records). Their album is being self-produced by Mike Herrera at his Monkey Trench Studios in Bremerton, WA. When asked about the recording process, Mike gave us a small taste of what is to come from MXPX.
I’ve put an immense amount of thought into the bass lines this time around. I’ve expanded the fills and changed them up here and there, which has been fun.
