Newest ‘Nymphomaniac’ Clip Shows Non-Sexual Side Of Film

Lars von Trier’s newest film, Nymphomaniac, has garnered much attention surrounding its explicit sex scenes, and highly graphic imagery. While that notion of attention grabbing has sustained the film’s marketing for the most part, we are now treated to the darker, more human side of the film.

Presented in a clip from “Chapter 7: The Mirror,” we see main character Joe, played by Charlotte Gainsbourg, attempting to rid her apartment of her sexual tendencies. We have seen the nature of her nymphomania before, though we now see the consequences of such actions.

You can watch the new clip here, and you can watch the other, NSFW trailer after the jump to contrast. Remember, it is highly explicit.
