MUSIC VIDEO: Fun. – Some Nights

Fun. have been on the charts for the last couple of months and they return with a music video for their new single “Some Nights.” The song is the title track off the band’s latest release Some Nights. This ballad is sure to be a hit, just like “We Are Young.”

In the video you will see a story of the war and a soldier with a girl back at home; he thinks about this girl throughout the video. Nate Ruess, frontman of Fun., seems to be the leader of the soldiers, preaching to them at the beginning of …

Justin Bieber is going straight for the dance floor with his newly leaked single, “All Around The World.” The song, which can be streamed after the jump, finds Biebz recruited Disturbin’ Tha Peace CEO Ludacris for a track about how people want love all around the world. Sounds cheesy, and it is, but the beat is too good to deny. Hear for yourself, after the jump.

I know we promised no more Bieber, but seriously, give this a spin.…

MOVIE REVIEW: Prometheus

Film: Prometheus
Starring: Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green and Michael Fassbender
Directed by: Ridley Scott

There’s an Alien-shaped elephant in the room. Two viewings of this film later, I still haven’t quite formed a proper opinion. Let this not dismay or beguile you – it seems to be divisive, and even after prolonged analysis and breakdowns with my friend last night (cos we know how to have a happening weekend), I’m still no closer to deciding whether I like it or not. Prometheus is, objectively speaking, a good film. I wouldn’t go as far as to call it very good, …

The Cinema

STREAM: The Cinema and Somnous – Beautiful

A couple months ago when indie-pop duo, The Cinema, announced that they would be delving into hip-hop, many shook their heads. Some thought of scene-producer mastermind Matt Malpass and Lydia singer Leighton Antelman rhyming and/or producing a hip-hop adventure as far-fetched or even foolish. Alas, the duo made good on their word…without Antelman coming up with the bars thankfully.

The Cinema teamed up with Milwaukee, Wisconsin hip-hop artist, Somnous (Sean Rogers) on a track called “Beautiful.” You can stream the song after the jump. “Beautiful” will be available on iTunes and Amazon on 15 June. At least the song …
