HOLY SH!T: Slipknot Plan To Record In Early 2013

NME is reporting that metalcore Gods Slipknot will be entering the studio in early 2013 to begin work on their first album since the death of Paul Gray.

News of the new album’s imminent creation broke earlier today during an interview the news publication did with Slipknot member Sid Wilson. When asked about the group’s future plans, Wilson replied:

“We’ve got Mayhem Festival this summer and, after we break for winter and Stone Sour are done with their tour, we’ll be back in the kitchen with Slipknot. Actually before Stone Sour finish touring we’ll be in the studio preparing for Corey’s return, keeping the irons hot.”

Slipknot have long said they were unsure a new record would ever come to fruition, but it seems that has (thankfully) changed. Will you be picking up another Slipknot record? Comment below and let us hear/read your thoughts!
