Stuart Cable, founding member of Welsh rock outfit Stereophonics and current drummer for Killing For Company, was found dead today at his home in Wales. He was 40. Police say that the cause of death hasn’t been determined but that there are no signs of foul play.
Cable helped form the band in 1992 and Stereophonics were the first act to sign to Richard Branson’s V2 label. He performed on the band’s first four albums through 2003′s You Gotta Go There To Come Back before parting ways. He later went onto have a career in radio and television. He was drumming for a new band, Killing For Company, who were scheduled to play at the Download Festival in England this weekend.
